  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Combustible.    NO open flames.    Use water spray, powder, alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide.

AVOID ALL CONTACT! IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Burning sensation. Cough. Sore throat. Laboured breathing. Shortness of breath. Symptoms may be delayed. See Notes.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. Half-upright position. Artificial respiration may be needed.
Skin Serious skin burns. Pain. Redness.  Protective gloves. Protective clothing.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Refer for medical attention .
Eyes Pain. Redness. Severe deep burns.  Wear face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.
Ingestion Abdominal pain. Burning sensation. Shock or collapse.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.  Rinse mouth. Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention .

EXPOSURE & HEALTH EFFECTS

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is very corrosive to the eyes and skin. The substance is corrosive to the respiratory tract. Corrosive on ingestion. Inhalation of high levels of the aerosol may cause lung oedema. See Notes.

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
The substance may have effects on the skin. This may result in chronic disease (scleroderma). The substance may have effects on the blood, cardiovascular system, kidneys and liver. This may result in anaemia, cardiac disorders, kidney impairment and liver impairment.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is toxic to aquatic organisms. It is strongly advised not to let the chemical enter into the environment.
