  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Combustible. Liquid formulations containing organic solvents may be flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.  Risk of fire and explosion if formulations contain flammable/explosive solvents.  NO open flames.    Use water in large amounts, powder, alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide.  In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.

AVOID ALL CONTACT! AVOID EXPOSURE OF ADOLESCENTS AND CHILDREN! FIRST AID: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION. IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Dizziness. Pupillary constriction, muscle cramp, excessive salivation. Sweating. Laboured breathing. Cough. Weakness. Abdominal cramps. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting. Incoordination. Convulsions. Unconsciousness.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Remove immediately from exposure. Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Artificial respiration may be needed. Refer immediately for medical attention. See Notes.
Skin EASILY ABSORBED! Redness. Pain. Further see Inhalation.  Protective gloves. Protective clothing.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. See Notes. Refer immediately for medical attention.
Eyes Redness. Pain. Blurred vision.  Wear face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  Rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
Ingestion See Inhalation.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.  Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. See Notes. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink, but NOT if convulsions occur. Refer immediately for medical attention.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable non-metallic containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

EXPOSURE & HEALTH EFFECTS

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes and skin. The substance may cause effects on the nervous system by a cholinesterase inhibiting effect. See Acute Hazards/Symptoms. This may result in convulsions, respiratory failure, heart failure and death. Medical observation is indicated.

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air can be reached rather quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C , on spraying much faster.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Cholinesterase inhibition. Cumulative effects are possible. See Acute Hazards/Symptoms.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS
TLV: (inhalable fraction): 0.01 mg/m3, as TWA; (skin); BEI issued.
MAK: 0.060 mg/m3, 0.005 ppm; peak limitation category: II(2); skin absorption (H)

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. This substance may be hazardous to the environment. Special attention should be given to mammals, birds and bees. This substance does enter the environment under normal use. Great care, however, should be taken to avoid any additional release, for example through inappropriate disposal.

NOTES
Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available.
Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties.
Isolate contaminated clothing by sealing in a bag or other container.
Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested.
Do NOT take working clothes home.
