	ACUTE HAZARDS	PREVENTION	FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION	Combustible. Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.	NO open flames. Closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Prevent deposition of dust. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding).	Use water spray, powder, foam, carbon dioxide.

	SYMPTOMS	PREVENTION	FIRST AID
Inhalation		Use closed system, local exhaust or breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell.
Skin	Redness.	Protective clothing. Protective gloves.	Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
Eyes	Redness. Pain.	Wear safety goggles.	First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.
Ingestion		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.	Seek medical attention if you feel unwell.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL	CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. If appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations. Do NOT wash away into sewer. NOTES
Commercial Phenyl-beta-naphthylamine may contain beta-Naphthylamine as an impurity. See ICSC 610. Phenyl-beta-naphthylamine is also metabolised in the body to beta-Naphthylamine which is a bladder carcinogen. Do NOT take working clothes home.
