The ILO, through its Improving Working Conditions in the Ready Made Garment Sector programme (funded by Canada, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom) is working to create a culture of Occupational Safety and Health in the garment industry. As part of that work it is supporting the establishment of Safety Committees in RMG factories and developing an ‘OSH kit’ for each Committee that will provide basic information helping the Committee to function effectively. This Bangla-language publication forms part of the OSH kit and focusses on the roles and responsibilities of senior management to establish a system for the management of health and safety in the workplace.
