Enhancing school-to-work transition: An examination of the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System - Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago

The objectives of the Seminar are to share more in-depth information on the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System as well as identify opportunities for further South-South Cooperation and Technical Assistance to Caribbean States by the Government of Brazil, in the area of School-to-work transitions.

The ultimate in a series of missions carried out since the start of 2017, this Mission to meet with officials and stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago will take place from 27-28 July 2017. It is organized under the auspices of the ILO-Brazil South-South Cooperation Programme with the collaboration of the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It will also entail the participation of delegates representing Government, workers’ and employers’ organizations from Grenada. Grenada became an official signatory to the Regional Initiative on Child Labour in March 2016.

The objectives of the Seminars are:
  1. To share more in-depth information on the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System
  2. To identify opportunities for further South-South Cooperation and Technical Assistance to Caribbean States by the Government of Brazil, in the area of School to Work Transitions.
