COVID-19 and the situation of female health workers in Argentina

This report addresses the situation of female health workers in Argentina in the particular context of the health emergency caused by COVID-19. Indeed, the pandemic revealed various inequalities that affect women, especially those who work at the front line of health and social care. They are about 760,000 workers, 9.8 percent of the country's employed women. This document details the measures implemented in Argentina and proposes recommendations and best practices to carry out a comprehensive response. This report was prepared by specialists from the ILO, UN Women and the United Nations Population Fund.
