The Dezernat Zukunft is a non-partisan think tank aiming at rethinking and explaining monetary, financial, and economic policy in a comprehensible way.

    There is mounting evidence around the globe that promoting gender diversity among employees, management, and boards can be a business boost. The Confederation of Employers of Ukraine is the first Ukrainian business association coming out with a Code of Practice that assists member companies in the inclusion of women in the workforce and in management.

    New service model with ILO support

    Turning around a super tanker−reforming the public employment services in Ukraine

    The Ukrainian Government recently decided to roll out a new service model for the Public Employment Services across all 500 offices of the country. The new service model tested with support of the ILO in one pilot office devotes more attention to the needs of the jobseekers and employers. The reform works as the number of unemployed registering with the agency as job seekers has increased by a third.

Highlights of his work are a 10% increase of the clients served by the public employment service per year and 3000 potential entrepreneurs trained with more than 700 new businesses established. The project is funded by Denmark.

    The lack of skilled workers can seriously affect industry and job growth. Watch our interview with Tatjana Vucic, Director of BIT Alliance, the largest IT business association in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The IT industry in BiH has the potential to offer more than 30,000 new job opportunities for specialists in the next eight years. However, finding qualified staff remains a key growth hurdle. In 2021, BIT Alliance and ILO jointly analyzed the skills deficits in the IT industry and identified priority interventions. The resulting Strategic Plan on Skills Development for the IT Sector in BiH will be published in the first quarter of 2022 on this website.
