News | 25 April 2019
Learning activities at ITC-ILO bring together leading experts, policy makers, Social Partners’ representatives, staff of international development agencies and a variety of other stakeholders, to study, analyze and discuss critical dimensions of skills development.

In this Centenary year, celebrating the 100th birthday of the ILO, the training programme places a specific focus on skill development and TVET in the context of the Future of Work. The training offer addresses some of the particular challenges faced in Central and Eastern Europe:
  • Learn how to improve skills recognition and labour market outcomes for migrant workers;
  • Understand the skills strategies needed for greening your country’s economy;
  • Explore how skills can work as a catalyst for industry sector-development;
  • Increase skills matching through modern career guidance services;
  • Exchange views on the critical challenges of the “Future of Work Agenda”.
If you prefer a “full immersion” into all the different dimensions of a Skills Development System, we recommend the Academy on Skills Development in June /July. In this exceptional learning event you can explore how to improve the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of your skills development system, to formulate policies and design programmes that respond to the challenges of the challenge of globalisation and technology in today’s labour markets.

All courses and learning fora are designed to meet the needs of policy-makers and practitioners around the world and offer a unique opportunity to exchange and learn together with experts and practitioners from other countries and other institutions.
