UN Day Flanders

On UN Day Flanders, CIFAL Flanders/UNITAR are hosting a High-level panel on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Director of ILO-Brussels will participate in the debate.

On 24 October, CIFAL Flanders will host the United Nations Day Flanders at the Flemish Parliament, in collaboration with the United Nations Association Flanders Belgium (VVN) and the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC), and with the support of the Flemish Government, the UN-EU Liaison Agencies in Brussels, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the partners of CIFAL Flanders. You are kindly invited to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the United Nations.

At 15.00, a high-level panel will reflect on the challenges of the United Nations in the coming years, and what the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is aiming at after one year. Claire Courteille-Mulder, the Director of the ILO Office in Brussels, will take part in the debate.

At 17.00, Audrey Le Guével, Programme and Operations Officer at ILO-Brussels, will participate in a session focussing on the ILO and Flanders: 25 Years of Cooperation.

The discussions will be followed by a Networking reception at 18.00.
