    The project supports the global goal of eliminating the worst forms of child labour by 2016 through awareness raising and capacity building initiatives that target government, worker, employer and civil society representatives in the occupied Palestinian territory.

    The ILO has partnered UNICEF and to comprise the first comprehensive study on Lebanon’s Working Street Children subsequent to the Syrian refugee crisis

  3. Protecting the Rights of Migrant Women Domestic Workers in Lebanon

    1 June 2011 - 31 October 2014, Lebanon

    The project enhances economic integration for women migrants and improved labour migration governance and social dialogue as a means to contribute to poverty alleviation through decent work for migrant workers.

  4. Improving the Protection of Labour Rights in Jordan

    1 March 2013 - 30 September 2014, Jordan

    The project places special attention on legislative reform as well as the role and mandate of labour inspectors, occupational safety and health (OSH) in the workplace and the employment of migrant workers.

  5. Supporting National Action to Combat the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Lebanon

    1 July 2012 - 30 June 2014, Lebanon

    The ILO is supporting the Government of Lebanon in its efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labour by 2016.

  6. Protecting Migrant Workers’ Rights in Jordan

    1 May 2012 - 31 May 2014, Jordan

    The objective of this project is to improve the fundamental rights of workers in Jordan, particularly foreign migrant workers.

  7. Mainstreaming labour migration statistics in the Labour Market Information System (LMIS) in Yemen

    1 May 2011 - 30 April 2014, Sanaa - Yemen

    The ILO is working with the Workers Abroad Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in Yemen to develop data collection and analysis systems to improve labour migration policy formulation.

  8. Tripartite Action for Youth Employment in Jordan

    The ILO is supporting efforts to tackle issues hindering greater youth employment by workers, employers and the government in Jordan.

  9. Promotion of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone

    This project contributes to the socio-economic development of Jordan by promoting social justice and expanding decent work opportunities through better compliance with fundamental principles and rights at work and the enforcement of national labour legislation.

    The ILO is supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency to enhance technical and vocational training in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee communities across the Arab States.
