ILO to train future labour inspection trainers in Kuwait

The ILO International Training Centre will deliver a comprehensive training methods workshop to upgrade training, techniques and facilitation for labour inspectors at Kuwait’s Public Authority of Manpower

The ILO and the Kuwait’s Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) will host a training programme to strength the capacity of PAM inspectors to train their peers as well as strengthen the Authority’s capacity to develop its human resources. The Training of Trainers Certification programme has been devised by the ILO International Training Centre in Turin, Italy (ILO-ITC) in order to expose participants to pedagogical methods aimed at improving their ability to facilitate training sessions through tailored techniques.

The programme will target inspectors are already involved in the training process at PAM who will be assessed throughout the programme in order to acquire certification from the ILO-ITC. Both the assessment and the certification processes will be led by Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications Programme (DELTA) officials together with ILO-ITC Coaches who have been certified by the International Association of Facilitators.

The training course is part of a joint ILO-United Nations Development Programme initiative to support the PAM in Kuwait.
