Gender Mainstreaming in Labour Statistics

The ILO’s Gender Mainstreaming in Labour Statistics methodology aims to incorporate gender issues and non-discrimination practices when compiling labour statistics. Among the Arab States the methodology has been formally launched in the occupied Palestinian Territory. Moreover, interventions have taken place in other countries such as Lebanon, and on a pan-Arab level in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. The methodology has been developed to include training workshops on gender-responsive labour statistics as well as the compilation of situation assessments, surveys of institutional stakeholders, policy briefs, and user-producer dialogues.
