Training to strengthen the capacity of labour inspectors in Mongolia
Ministry of Labour and Social Protection is organizing training program to strengthen the capacity of labour inspectors (labour, social protection and hygiene) within the "SDG-Aligned Budgeting To Transform Employment in Mongolia" project from May 16-20, 2023
As a result of the labour and social protection sector's inspection transfer to the ministry, state inspectors must now acquire knowledge and experience related to the ministry's policies, newly approved rules and procedures, and inspection checklists. In addition, they must become familiar with their duties as specified in the Law on State Inspection and related laws.
To meet these requirements, training programs/agendas have been developed to equip state inspectors with the professional methodology, knowledge, international labour standards and practical skills necessary to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. The training programs aim to enhance the state inspectors' understanding and proficiency in using the newly developed inspection checklists.
The subject training will take place on May 16,17, 20, 2023, at the Holiday Inn conference halls and other venues designated for practical training. A total of 130 state inspectors will attend the training, including:

- 70 inspectors from the labour sector of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the General Authority of Labour and Welfare Services, and the Labour and Welfare Services Departments and Divisions in the Provinces, Capital city, and Districts.
- 25 inspectors from the occupational health and hygiene sector of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the General Authority of Labour and Welfare Services, and the Labour and Welfare Services Departments and Divisions in the Provinces, Capital city, and Districts;
- 25 inspectors from the social protection sector of the General Authority of Social Insurance; and
- 35 inspectors from the social protection sector of the Social Insurance Departments and Divisions in the Provinces, Capital city, and Districts.
