  3. Promotion of the Local Product Branding “Crafted in Quang Nam”

    14 April 2015

    The local products met many difficulties in reaching to tourism industry for reasons among of which the absence of a recognized branding could not convince tourists to buy the products. Together with the support in changes of designs and production, a market branding called “Crafted in Quang Nam” has been developed with a package of the visual identity and a management mechanism joined by different stakeholders. The event aims to promote the branding to the public after being approved by the Authority.

  4. Nepal Government Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Study Tour

    13 - 17 April 2015

    The International Labour Organization Country Office for the Philippines (ILO CO-Manila) in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) in Nepal organized a five-day exposure mission to the Philippines for Senior Government officials from MoLE.

  5. Media Training to Reporting on Disability in Viet Nam for Journalists

    8 - 9 April 2015

    The workshop aims to share knowledge and reporting techniques on this issue to improve journalists' capacities and skills on reporting disability in Viet Nam and equip basic knowledge of employment for persons with disabilities and how important of inclusion persons with disabilities in the labour market.

  1. Business response to preventing forced labour of migrant workers, Employers' Regional Workshop – ASEAN Triangle Project

    Business and its representatives are key stakeholders in the migration process and Forced labour has been identified by the ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) as a key priority as the region moves to economic integration in 2015. A 1.5 days regional technical meeting organized by ACT/EMP in partnership with Better Work Vietnam, and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) under the framework of the ASEAN TRIANGLE project will bring together all ten members of ACE, as well as regional experts and practitioners with a focus on forced labour and human trafficking issues. The meeting will provide technical presentations on key aspects of forced labour along with practical information and experiences from firms on tackling forced labour in company operations. ”

  8. Awareness raising seminar on Sindh Industrial Relations Act of 2013

    The project intends to organize an awareness raising seminar on Sindh Industrial Relations Act of 2013 (SIRA) passed by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. The proposed seminar is aimed at creating awareness on SIRA, among the tripartite stakeholders. It is important that Agriculture labourers know their rights provided by SIRA. Similarly the landlords and Agriculture sector employers need to be educated on their obligations and responsibilities.

    The SURAC (Sub-regional Advisory Committee) meeting has served as an ILO platform for tripartite constituents to share information, experiences and provide guidance on anti-trafficking and migration management for ten years.

  11. ASEAN Community 2015: Managing integration for better jobs and shared prosperity - Lao PDR National Policy Dialogue

    25 March 2015

    The objective of the meeting is to launch the report with the Lao Country Brief in a high-level national policy dialogue. The meeting will discuss on how AEC will affect Lao PDR. It is expected that participants will gain understanding on how regional integration will affect Lao PDR. What the impact on businesses and jobs will be and what labour market challenges would be for Lao PDR. What actions Lao PDR could take to leverage deepter integration.

  14. Programme for Local Economic Development through Enhanced Governance and Grassroots Empowerment (PLEDGE) Advisory Committee Meeting

    The Project Advisory Committee (PAC) will meet as agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding between ILO and BDA (Bangsamoro Development Agency) for the implementation of the PLEDGE Project. The PAC will provide policy guidance and future directions to the PLEDGE project.
