    Employing more than 95 per cent of the world’s working population, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the main source of employment in developing countries, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, SMEs have also become a significant support to the sustainable development of the economy and important channel to absorb surplus labour. In fact, more than 60 per cent of the labour force is employed in SMEs.

    Young leaders voice concerns on youth employment in the Philippines

    Young Filipino leaders raised concerns on youth unemployment and migration, access to information, education and training, protection and promotion of workers’ rights in a recent youth employment forum held in Manila. The forum joined by over a hundred youth, was an opportunity to review the draft National Action Plan for Youth and discus the challenges that face many young people today.

    Over 3,600 garment workers will run this Sunday 22th April at 6:30am at Binh Duong New City, Binh Duong Province. This is 3rd year, Better Work organize this event as part of a safety campaign to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

    National photo competition and exhibition to observe the World Day Against Child Labour 2012

    Time Bound Project has an initiative to organize a national photo competition and exhibition to observe the World Day against Child Labour 2012 in collaboration with the Bureau of Child Protection and Care under MOLISA, and financial contribution from other international organizations such as World Vision, Save the Children... The first activity has been organized on Friday, 6th April 2012 - the Press Announcement which has attracted around 80 journalists and representatives from different agencies/organizations to attend and post news on their newspapers/website.
