    The database, created by the Canadian Government-funded ASEAN TRIANGLE Project, gathers together a range of statistical sources relating to international migrants and international migrant workers in the ten ASEAN Member States in order to fill an important knowledge gap.

    New report on future of social protection in Mongolia launched

    The report, “Social protection assessment based national dialogue: Definition and cost of Social protection floor in Mongolia”, was launched by the United Nations in Mongolia, the International Labour Organization ILO), the Ministry of Population Development and Social Protection (MPDSP) and the Ministry of Labour (MOL), at a meeting attended by more than 130 participants.

    A Code of Conduct on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace has been signed by senior officials of the Government, employers’ organization and trade union, marking to marking Viet Nam’s commitment to preventing and addressing this issue. The development of the Code was supported by the ILO.

    The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development and the ILO launches the first ever Migrant Resource Centre in Lahore

    The ILO in Pakistan, through its EU funded South Asia Labour Migration Governance Project, has entered into a partnership with the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development to establish the first Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) in Pakistan. The MRC will be based in the Protectorate of Emigrates offices in Lahore, a space that is visited by hundreds of Pakistani migrant workers on a daily basis. The MRC will provide a range of services including information on safe migration and foreign employment options, as well as other support services that will facilitate their migration process.

    Government initiates dialogue on the ratification of convention 155- Occupational safety and health and the working environment

    In Pakistan, Safe Day celebrations on 28th April 2015 were characterised by a series of events across the country including the 10th OSH awards organised by the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) in collaboration with the Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF), the Provincial and Federal Labour departments and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The event brought together over 170 participants and during the event, the Federal Government announced its intention to initiate social dialogue on the ratification of Convention 155 concerning Occupational Safety and Health and the Working Environment.
