    Indonesia: The Next Generation of Papua

    The documentary depicts the journey of three young Papuans to obtain decent jobs through education and skills training programmes conducted by the ILO in Jayapura, Papua. The documentary documents the recruitment of out of school youth, training and skills development process and the employment situation after receiving the training. It also provides an understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by the young Papuans to have better access to skills trainings and jobs opportunities.

It highlights the trip of the Senator to the district of Liquiça to observe at first hand some self-employment initiatives of the Youth Employment Promotion Programme. The movie notes the success of the Programme and how it is achieving positive outcomes in Timor-Leste. In addition, the movie stresses how the YEP Programme demonstrates the practical and real difference the Australian Government is making through the Australia-ILO Partnership Agreement.

    The Asia-Pacific Youth Employment Network (APYouthNet) has released its first Discussion Podcast. On 17 October 2011, APYouthNet hosted its first regional radio show discussion on the timely topic of "Jobs of the Future - Emerging Trends in Youth Employment". The issues discussed were wide ranging and included: the role of youth organizations in lobbying for youth employment policies; strengthening the link between (vocational) education and the private sector; addressing the increase in precarious youth employment ; regional approaches to create decent work for youth and potential sectors for future jobs for youth.

    Exclusive breastfeeding in the workplace: Towards decent and productive work for all

    Provides a glimpse of an ILO initiative in the Philippines to promote exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) in the workplace under the MDG-F 2030 Joint Programme on Ensuring Food Security and Nutrition for Children 0-24 Months Old in the Philippines, funded by the Government of Spain. ILO, together with the government, workers and employers along with partners, aims to contribute in achieving the Millennium Development Goals on addressing extreme poverty, hunger (MDG 1) and child mortality rate (MDG4) through providing technical assistance in developing and setting up mechanisms that would enable working mothers to continue breastfeeding in the workplace even after giving birth and after their maternity leave.
