  2. Project Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting 2023, Lao People's Democratic Republic

    14 March 2023

    Tripartite Constituents of Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lao Federation of Trade Union convened a Project Advisory Committee Meeting of ILO/China Partnership Programme on 14 March 2023 at Don Chan Palace, Vientiane Capital, Lao People's Democratic Republic

  3. Consultation workshops on ASEAN Declaration and ASEAN Guidelines on Protection of Migrant Workers and Family Members in Crisis Situations

    13 - 14 March 2023

    ILO’s TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme supported two consultation workshops hosted by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) of Indonesia. The workshops brought together about 140 representatives of a range of government departments and ASEAN bodies, as well as other tripartite plus stakeholders from ASEAN Member States to discuss protection of migrant workers and family members in crisis situations.

  4. Workshop on Developing Programme/Activities based on the Strategies of the 3rd National Occupational Safety and Health Master Plan

    13 - 14 March 2023

    The ILO/Japan Promotion of a safe and healthy working environment as Fundamental Principle and Right at Work through application of Fundamental conventions in Cambodia and Thailand Project in collaboration with the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour of Thailand host a workshop to share experience and lesson learned on developing National OSH Master Plan and OSH initiatives targeting those workers.

  6. Technical consultation on Development of ASEAN Guidelines on Portability of Social Security Benefits for Migrant Workers

    9 - 10 March 2023

    ILO is supporting the Government of Cambodia in hosting the first technical consultation on development of ASEAN Guidelines on Portability of Social Security Benefits for Migrant Workers.

  7. Promoting Quality Industry-based Apprenticeship: Video Launch and Talkshow for Industries and Trade Unions

    The video screening is aimed to raise the awareness of policymakers and social partners on quality industry-based apprenticeships to improve skilled labour and to promote quality industry-based apprenticeship programmes.

  8. Promoting SMEs through Access to Digital Financial Services: Launching of PROMISE IMPACT Phase 2 Project Implementation

    The main objective of this event is to officially mark the start of the project activities implementation. In the first intake, the project selected locations in the East Nusa Tenggara and West Java provinces.

  1. Industry-specific vocational career guidance on TVET in Cebu

    27 - 28 February 2023

    Nearly a hundred TVET learners received industry-specific vocational career guidance through the ILO Skills for Prosperity Programme, funded by the U.K. Government, together with TESDA and CCA in Cebu City.

  2. Communications Training for Employers and Workers Organizations on Labour Standards, OSH and Gender Equality

    27 February - 2 March 2023

    The 4-day course aims to help actors in the organization to build capabilities to communicate and raise awareness on the promotion of workers’ rights in their workplaces, which weave the fabrics of formal and informal working conditions.

  3. Regional training to strengthen labour migration and reintegration in Western Visayas

    27 February - 1 March 2023

    Local governments, Migrant Resource Centres (MRC) and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) helpdesks from six provinces in Western Visayas and partners in Iloilo City gather for an ILO training through its migration programmes to strengthen interagency coordination mechanisms on fair and ethical recruitment and sustainable gender-sensitive reintegration.

  4. Capacity building training for trade unions on Green Jobs and Just Transition in chemical and pharmaceutical industry

    27 - 28 February 2023

    This workshop will introduce the project “Making Just Transition work though stronger workers’ organizations in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry” to the partner unions (VGCL/VUIT and its local/sectoral affiliates) in southern Viet Nam, raise their awareness and build their capacity to promote green jobs and a just transition of the chemical industry through social dialogue.

  5. Third Joint Dialogue on labour migration between the ASEAN Confederation of Employers and the ASEAN Trade Union Council

    The ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) and the ASEAN Trade Union Council (ATUC) and their country level affiliates are meeting in Tokyo, Japan on 24 February 2023 for a Third Joint Dialogue on labour migration.

  6. High-Level Tripartite Regional Seminar on Industrial Relations in Southeast Asian Countries

    22 - 24 February 2023

    Review current approach to labour relations, build shared understanding on way forward for collaborative industrial relations and promote follow up initiatives at country level for working together for growth, productivity and decent work.

  7. Strengthening labour migration and reintegration in Western Visayas through Migrant Resource Centres and helpdesks

    21 - 23 February 2023

    The ILO, through the BRIDGE and Safe and Fair Programmes, and the Sub-Committee on International Migration and Development in the Philippines have collaborated to strengthen capacity and interagency coordination mechanisms on fair and ethical recruitment and sustainable gender-sensitive reintegration of migration service providers in Western Visayas.

  8. Cambodian Skill Competition Trainers and Champion to be trained in China under South-South Cooperation Skills Development Network

    With the coordination from ILO-China Partnership Programme, the discussion workshop on Training Cambodian Skills Competition Champion in China was organized under the South-South Cooperation Skills Development Network

  9. Strengthening gender-responsive recruitment and reintegration and social protection for migrant workers in Western Visayas

    15 - 17 February 2023

    The ILO BRIDGE Project and the Safe and Fair Programme with the Center for Migrant Advocacy and Migrants Coordinating Group (MCG) brought migrant workers and their families in Western Visayas to strengthen gender-responsive recruitment and reintegration and social protection services.

  10. Expanding Social Security Coverage to Informal Workers in Lao People's Democratic Republic

    15 - 17 February 2023

    ILO and the Lao Social Security Organisation (LSSO) hold a multi-stakeholder workshop to discuss how to promote social security membership among informal workers in Lao People’s Democratic Republic and share the findings of a recent quantitative study.

  11. Executive course on Strategic Compliance Planning

    6 - 8 February 2023

    Under the Rural Sectors Project, the ILO and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) have collaborated and convened Regional Directors for an executive course to develop Strategic Compliance Plans for the labour inspectorate to better protect vulnerable workers.
