The ILO-Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) together with the Singapore National Employers Federation will hold a media and executive briefing on ASEAN in transformation: How technology is changing jobs and enterprises. The meeting brings together 100 CEOs and senior executives from across the region along with international and regional media outlets.

Tripartite Plus Workshop on "Child Labour and Supply Chains"
To mark the World Day Against Child Labour 2016, the ILO in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Employment is organizing a half day Tripartite plus Workshop to bring together all the key actors from the government, social partners and civil society into one platform for an enriched discussion around the issue of "Child Labour and Supply Chains". The workshop will reinforce collaboration and commitments from the key stakeholders for an increased child labour elimination efforts in Nepal.

Financial assessment of the proposed reform to the social security system for older persons and a proposed new pension scheme for the herders and self-employed persons

This report analyses some propositions of the reform of the Mongolian pension system. It also presents an analysis of the implementation of a new scheme for herders and self-employed workers. It is important to bear in mind that this report does not constitute an actuarial valuation of the current social security system in Mongolia. Some of the data needed to proceed were not available. Enough information was however available to have a good idea of the magnitude of the recommended options.

The Ministry of Labour and Trade Union Relations, supported by the ILO Office, held a National Consultation to introduce the Future of Work initiative with the relevant stakeholders on 24th May 2016 in Colombo.

Youth in India and their aspirations for the Future of Work

This film was shot on location in 6 different parts of India in Mizoram, Kerala, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, during April-May 2016 in about 3 weeks. The purpose of the film is to capture a diverse set of views of youth on the future of work and what this means in their lives in terms of challenges, opportunities and areas to be tackled by policymakers and other stakeholders.
