In 1997, the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act (IPRA) passed ground-breaking legislation in the Philippines and paved the way for the issuance of native titles. This is the second in a three-part volume that looks at a wide range of issues concerning the recognition of ancestral domains and the rights of indigenous communities in the country.
