    The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Accelerating Action for the Elimination of Child Labour in Supply Chains in Africa (ACCEL AFRICA) project supports the Government of Cote d’Ivoire in strengthening the implementation of its Child Labour Observation and Monitoring System in Côte d'Ivoire (SOSTECI) in Mbato and Soubre regions.

  3. New partnership between the Government of Norway and the International Labour Organization to improve working conditions in Malawi’s tobacco sector

    This new project is well aligned to the strategic priorities of development cooperation between Norway and Malawi, which include a focus on the agriculture sector and respect for human rights, as well as with Norway’s global development cooperation priorities regarding the elimination of modern slavery and child labour.

    The collaboration between the two projects resulted in the establishment by the MOM of a new Trade Union Grievance Committee to facilitate trade unions’ registration process. A ministerial decree is issued by MOM to institutionalize the Committee.

    The new survey will measure for the first time in Mali the prevalence and extent of child labor based on the new resolution on child labor statistics aimed at harmonizing international statistical standards for the identification (and classification) of children in productive activities and child labor.
