Recovering from the Crisis: the Implementation of the Global Jobs Pact in Africa
At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Blaise Compaore, President of Burkina Faso, the First African Decent Work Symposium - organized in collaboration with the International Labour Office (ILO) and the African Union Commission (AUC) on the theme : "Recovering from the crisis: the implementation of the Global Jobs Pact in Africa" - will be held from 1-2 December 2009 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The symposium will host African Heads of State and Government, the ILO Director general, Mr. Juan Somavia, Ministers of Finance, Ministers of Labour, as well as representatives of employers and workers in Africa, regional institutions and bilateral and multilateral development partners.
